You already have 2 crap guns why do you want another. Save your money and get a good gun.

Both are a good choice. i own a Hipoint 45 and love it. Dont let idiots like the poster above discourage you from buying a Hi Point. He obviously has never shot one.

Bersa T380. Be prepared for the slide stop to break @ about 350 rounds. Other than that, it is a better gun than tha Hi-Point.

I'd go with the Hi-point..It's fugly as hell.. but it's a decent range gun.

Buy the Hi-Point and 500 rounds of .45acp ammo and let us know how long it lasts. I'd wager you will run out of pistol before you run out of ammo.

Why don't you just sell the Hi Point 9 mmP and add that money to what you'd spend on the .45 or .380, and buy a good .45 ACP?

Well, I have a Bersa .380. It is a damn nice little gun. I have fired about 1,000 rounds thru it in the past few years. It has never jammed or broken. It is surprisingly accurate as well.

If I had a choice between a Bersa in .45 auto or the Hi Point, I would opt for the Bersa.

I know a couple guys who have Hi point guns. The accuracy and triggers are nothing to brag about and they are butt ugly. However, they do seem reliable.

    Depends

For carry I would co with the Bersa, mine has never given me any problems, way past 500 rounds with no slide stop breakage

personally I don't like Hi Points
That has nothing to do with quality, I just don't like them

I have friends who swear by theirs even though they have many more socially acceptable guns

Sorry, Not very many of us here like Hi-Points. In fact I cannot endorse the Sigma either. It was my first gun and I got rid of it 4 months later. I hear mixed reviews on the Bersa but when I wanted to buy one, I was told to stop by a few gentlemen looking at some 1911s. If I were you I would save a little more and start looking into Taurus or Ruger. Higher quality and still in the 350-450 $$$ range.

I don't own any Hi-Points, but I've been around enough to say that they seem like reliable firearms. The posters here claiming that they are garbage have probably never handled one. They're nothing to look at and not the best performers, but much better than throwing rocks.Gun Tests magazine has done several write-ups on them with good scores, if you need more research. http://www.gun-tests.com/

If the Sigma is in your price range, consider spending a few bucks more and buying a Smith and Wesson M&P. They're running a rebate that will get you a $50 check back in the mail and two free magazines.

If this is going to be a carry gun, the Bersa isn't a bad choice, but I'd consider a Sig P232 also. If it's not for carry, don't bother with a .380. It's a good round for a small pocket auto, but the ammo is too expensive to make an everyday range gun and a small automatic isn't really the most pleasant thing to shoot. They sell new around $400, not much more than a Bersa. Also worth looking at is the new Ruger LCP, I looked at one yestarday priced at $320.

If you have never had trouble with the Hi Point 9mm then go with the .45ACP. Get more gun.

I have considered getting one myself. I know they are not top of the line. I doubt I shoot more than 200 rounds through it.
