I live in qiuncy,ma.I was wondering, could I go to a walmart with a crosman p9 in a hostler attached to my belt?My cousin said he tried it by covering it with a large t-shirt.
Actually my mother works at walmart and I wanted to see how good the security is.I'm not trying to look tough or anthing like it.

i would never have it exposed. but you could get in some real trouble for having it concealed if you get caught. why do you want to bring it to walmart anyway?

If you do that someone will think that you want to rob the place and they will call the police, but anyway, not being a real gun it might be legal, you will need to check up the laws of your State in that respect.

first, depending on your local ordinance a bb gun may be considered a firearm, especially 'discharging' them. Also, people have used bb guns to make people think they had real guns for robberies. In that case, even a finger pressed in a jacket pocket during a crime, it is considered the same as if you had a real gun.

Cops are going to view carrying a bbgun concealed with a GREAT deal of suspicion, as there is no legitemate purpose for it (you cannot defend yourself with a bb gun). Walmart will probably figure you are planning on robbing the place.

Now, walmart for the most part does respect state issued CCW permits, but does not allow open carry in their store even if the state law permits CCW holders to open carry. They think their customers will get upset, so they get upset preemptively.

Now, your cousin may have 'succeeded' simply because he didn't get spotted, or caught. Often people who carry real firearms in open carry are amazed at how many folks just don't notice anyhting. In general, when actually concealing, it takes a very careful eye to notice printing (gun frame presses on shirt) otherwise you just have to watch out when bending over and the shirt rides up, or people bumping into it and asking what it is

The Crosman P9 is a toy gun.

So unless there is a state or local law against toy guns in public you should be fine.

well, even if you cant go to jail over it..i am about 90% sure youll get a real big boy gun pointed at you if a cop see's you.
why would you want to do that anyway? to look cool or 'tuff'?
well if its a bb gun youll just look like a kid trying to be cool
so dont try it. theres no reason to bring one in there.

theres been a lot of kids shot and killed by cops around here.
and for one reason..the cop saw the toy gun not knowing it was a toy..the kid made a wrong move and the cop did what he was trained to do..the only person at fault when that happens...the kid.

if a cop doesnt see you..and person working at wal mart will and call the cops...so if you dont want the S.W.A.T team and about 100 guns pointed at you..dont do it.

Many states laws classify air guns as firearms. Hypothetically substitute .45 auto for air gun and this is likely what your trouble will be.
